About us

We began selling high-end apartments and townhouses in Manhattan nearly 30 years ago. We were looking for a quiet and private weekend/holiday respite not too far from the city right after the horrific tragedy of 9/11. While visiting family for Thanksgiving that year, our sister mentioned "an old house" for sale nearby.
A few days later we contacted the agent and made an offer on the spot.  It ticked off all of the boxes; privacy, a bit of land, quality construction, historic relevancy and a place to truly call HOME.  

Whenever our busy schedule permitted, we completed mechanical/cosmetic renovations while trying to retain the historic character of the home. Owning an older home is not for everyone and this was definitely a labor of love! This home was built on bedrock from locally sourced lumber, brick and stone in the early 19th century and has stood the test of time.
